No – your registration will be issued on a certificate (V750) and can be held for up to 10 years before being assigned to a vehicle.

Yes – if you choose our Fast Track Transfer service and provide your V5C logbook details, we can assign it directly to your vehicle after purchase. Otherwise, the reg will be issued on a certificate for later use.

If you're assigning the registration now, we'll need your V5C logbook reference number. If you're just buying for later, no documents are needed right away.

If it's the vehicle’s original registration, DVLA will usually return it when you remove your private plate. If it’s also a private plate, you must put it on retention before assigning the new one. We can help with this for a small admin fee.

The price includes full legal ownership of the registration mark and a certificate ready for assignment. Optional extras include physical number plates and Fast Track Transfer service.

Yes! You can gift the certificate or have us assign the registration to their vehicle via Fast Track. You'll be asked for the nominee’s name at checkout.

Absolutely – the registration will be issued on a certificate, ready to assign when you're ready or when you buy your vehicle.

Yes – you can list your registration on Plus Plates. Contact our support team or visit the “Sell My Plate” section to start the process.

You cannot transfer to Q-plated vehicles or vehicles without MOT/HGV certificates. Also, you cannot make a car look newer (e.g. a 2020 plate on a 2015 car).
